The recognition celebrates the organization's holistic approach — spanning shelter and rehabilitation, counselling, legal aid, and skill-building initiatives — that has helped transform the lives of vulnerable women and children throughout the region. It reaffirms IDWC's standing as a trusted and effective institution in the field of social welfare.Dr. Rosakutty Abraham was recognised by the Kerala State Social Welfare Board (KSSWB) on 31 March 2015 for her outstanding performance and meritorious service in Social Work. She was honoured by Sri. M. K. Muneer, the then Hon’ble Minister of Kerala, in the presence of Dr. K. K. Kamarunnissa, Chairperson, KSSWB, and other dignitaries at Kanakunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram. The recognition highlighted her National and International Awards, including the Zilla Mahila Samman – 2014 from the Government of India, Ministry of Women & Child Development; a Ph.D. in Social Work from the Academy of Universal Global Peace; the National Excellence Award – 2015 from ALIMA (UK) International; and the Best Social Worker Award from the New International Christian Advanced Academy & Good Help Foundation.

Second National Awards Press Meet

The District Women’s Council has once again received recognition at the national level. The council, which received the National Award in 1976, has once again been selected for the award in recognition of its activities and services. The Women’s Council has been carrying out various programmes for the welfare and empowerment of women. It has also undertaken several activities aimed at improving the social and economic status of women. The council has been working in cooperation with various organisations and government agencies. The council has been selected for the award after considering its activities during the past year. The award will be presented at a function to be held in New Delhi. Representatives of the council will participate in the ceremony and receive the honour. The council has also conducted several programmes related to women’s development, education, employment and social welfare. Its continued efforts in these areas have been recognised through this national honour.

Dr. Rosakutty Abraham was honoured by Dr. Prameela Devi, Member of the Kerala Women Commission, on behalf of the Commission, with the presentation of a Trophy and ‘Ponnada’ at a function held at the Thodupuzha NSS Auditorium in connection with International Women’s Day 2015. During 2015, she received several prestigious national and international recognitions for her outstanding contributions to the field of Social Work, including the National Award “Zilla Mahila Samman – 2014” from the Government of India, Ministry of Women & Child Development, New Delhi; a Doctorate in Social Work (Ph.D. [SW]) from the Academy of Universal Global Peace; the National Excellence Award – 2015 from the ALMA (UK) International Advanced Academy; and the Best Social Worker Award from the New International Christian Advanced Academy & Good Help Foundation. These honours recognise her outstanding performance, dedicated service, and meritorious contribution to the field of Social Work.
